Toddler Tote 07/08/2011
A friend of mine asked me to make a bag for her 2 year old daughter to carry her diapers and sippy cup in at church. We went to the fabric store and found some really cute fabric with Bible verses! (I love fabric stores!) I wanted to make a pouch for her sippy cup so it wouldn't spill in the bag, and a wet pouch for dirty clothes etc. I think it turned out pretty cute! In my obsessive search of the internet I have found some pretty cool sites with sewing ideas and free patterns.(I don't actually print them out, but I do like to look at them to get an idea of what shape each piece should be. www.amybutlerdesign.com She has some great design ideas and a few free patterns, in fact I think I'm going to try to make this portfolio soon. I'm not sure if the pattern would fit my iPad, so I may adjust it so that it does. BurdaStyle is like a social network for people who sew! It has some free patterns and some that you can purchase. Lots of great inspiration here! To download patterns you have to sign up for a free membership. Dress Inspirations 07/03/2011
My next project is going to be a dress for myself, and possibly matching ones for the girls depending on how much fabric I have left over. I am thinking of combining these dress styles somehow. I'll let you know how it tuns out! | R.K.R.Mom Creations
